24jul18--You are welcome Jon and thank you. The name Wied il-Mielaħ hit a memory from when I searched about the Azure Window ( from another Gozo feed ). So I had to poke about and why not share some information. SkylineWebcams allowed a 'photos' of the window. ____Ivor Ramsden, I agree with 'Remote'. Wied il-Mielaħ is about as North as you can get on Gozo, Malta. This 'live-can' is pointed North too so I am guessing views of the sun rising or setting is not going to happen here , though sunsets and sun risings should be fantastic at times with the sun out of view. ___ Street View of here through Google is filled with great images with many 360° spheres. Well done Gharb LC for helping to put Gozo on the map. It's a remote place so I hope this new camera doesn't get vandalised.
Hi Capture Sam; We've been here a few times when on holiday - really nice. I didn't recognise it at first until I read your comments. Thanks.
This seaside limestone arch rock formation resembling a window is reachable via a long stairway with a handrail. The valley of Wied il-Mielaħ is rich in flora and a lovely place to walk especially in the autumn and spring. The way down the valley is like a botanical display of vegetation typical of the Mediterranean. Yellow rather than green is the primary colour here especially from late autumn until spring, when many fields bloom with the small yellow flower of the Cape Sorrel. EnJoy EnJoy
Thank you for this lovely view - the colours of the rocks and the sky as the sun sets is one of the many happy memories that you have when you visit the islands.
