Unbelievable times I am afraid, and being an avid Skyliner, I looked at all of the web cams and literally everywhere is deserted. Just going to check out the Maldives now..........

Hard to imagine a quarantine on this scale. Every place is deserted. In the US, we are closing schools, many concerts, and events cancelled, sporting playoffs cancelled, restaurants and bars, next, to close, everything. There are still hoards of people at the grocery stores getting supplies, We are entering into the peak stage now they say and I pray that people will practice social distancing at the very least and self-quarantine if ill. Pray for the world.

In this difficult battle against Covid-19, we're by your side...sure that our shared sense of responsability and combattive spirit will allow us to overcome this odious hurdle. We will rediscover the meaning of fraternity amongst people and we'll come out of this stronger than ever.

As much as I miss seeing an active piazza on this webcam, I am much more concerned about precious lives of people. Stay safe. Heed to what authorities are asking us all to do to protect us all.

It is 12:35am local time or 00:35am and I can see water coming into the piazza especially infront of the Duomo. I know it is raining and hope it not high tide.

This is how I read in his comments J Murray and Luvtotrom, this beautiful carnival has been canceled, because of the worrying threat to the entire planet, because of coronavirus, it is better, that they have taken these measures, to avoid its rapid spread, it is a pity, What happens today, I really like this camera and I only hope that Italy will soon return to its normal life, taking all the necessary measures. Regards!
