Sex, drugs and rock and roll! Those were the days.....just ignited another brain cell. Saw Mary Hopkins at Baileys. Got her autograph....somewhere!

We'd show the kids of today how to do it. Smoke our powder in front of the coppers and they didn't dare stop us or else. Aye sherbet lemon is great.

Hi again Barry. Just Googled 'Baileys Leicester 1970's'. Whole load of nostalgia to look through. You'll be amazed at the acts that performed there. My memory was stirred. The group I saw was The Drifters.Talk about a trip back in time....wish I was back there now.

Hi Barry. The good old days eh? Nostalgia....just wish I could remember it! I was courting a Leicester girl then. Been married 43 years. Saw Julie Felix, Lynne Paul (New Seekers)....and a group, which we can't remember either. Baileys became The Ace of Spades, then it closed to become the Haymarket Theatre which sadly recently threw in the towel thanks to Covid-19.

Hi Clive, I'm glad there's someone with a great memory and unfortunately I can't remember who our group went to see lol. We travelled all the way from Northampton and Baileys was certainly worth it.

Hello Barry. Blimey. I remember Baileys. Saw Tiny Tim there. Great place for a good night out and chicken in a basket.

Hi Ray. I live just on the outskirts of the city. The large tent is a testing centre for Covid-19. Sadly there's no raves or parties going on inside.

I only went to Leicester twice and that was to Baileys. Great night out.
