Hello J Funny, how brilliant to hear all about Windsor and its plants and trees I have been to Windsor Great Park but it was many years ago now. I love the New Forest it is one of my favourite places a place I really feel at home in and the wildlife is amazing from the ponies wandering everywhere to the birds and reptiles and the walks, doesn't matter what the weathers like I never minded, unfortunately don't get there as often as I would like but happy memories. Do you have a special place that you like? We're lucky to have skyline to take us all over the world especially Tsavo my favourite cam :} Best wishes and a Happy Easter to you.
yes it is a lovely sight
Three giraffes and a full moon, lovely sight.
Family of red elephants. As they quickly went to the water. Thirst.
Thank you Maria Rogers and Elena
What wonderful photos for the last day. Thank you J.Funny, Winifred boyce.
Thank you Alan Jeffery
Rita, you are blessed to live in such a lovely part of the world.I love Capercaillies & Ptarmigans, but have never seen one :(Don't give up on EJ. I only see them on their way in or out from migrating.
Good morning all and a Happy Easter, thank you Alan I will look the starlings up, another great name :) Our resident Red Kite went over earlier looked stunning in the sunlight. I keep looking at Loch Garten to see if EJ the osprey is back but it seems they think she won't make it this year, such a shame.
Rita. The mystery birds. I have seen a white rump viewed from above. Also when a few landed this side of the waterhole they their shape & stance was more like a starling. So I am now thinking "Superb Starling".
Winifred Boyce has put up a photo of a young Elephant with next to No tail. I was told many years ago when in the Masia mara, where we were saw several, that this was the work of the Spotted Hyena. They latch onto the tail in an attempt to pull the youngster down. Such powerful jaws have consequences.
Good, it's Friday. Happy Easter everyone. Chris,I am pleased your Swallows have arrived.
Safari njema Maria. (safe journey) Have a lovely time.I am sure the animals will miss you. :)
