AT 3:34am in Tromso on 9/27 there are no lights on the webcam transmission.
    Anyone know why?

Is it my imagination - or wishful thinking -- but is camera closer to land?

I've been watching the blob of snow getting smaller and smaller over the summer and this morning I checked in to see the first snowfall. I wonder if it totally disappeared?

Nights are getting longer.... alost total darkness around midnight... soon summer will be a memory.... the long cold polar winter will set in in probably 2 months or so. Eh....

Going to watch out for the Hurtigruten ships I haven't seen yet. I won't bore you with the same photo's any more.

I never thought that on a cruise to the fjords in 2004 being docked beside a Hurtigruten I would ever see so many of their famous ships. It has been wonderful to watch and see just how reliable their timings are. You can almost set your clock by them. I can fully understand how reliant the people are on them and apparently they do wonderful cruises as well for anyone who would like the original and best way to see the fjords. Hope you don't mind my photo's and timings of them.

I am looking forward to seeing the Aurora Borealus, it will not even compare to actually being in Tromso.
I live in Northern Ontario Canada where they are rarely seen. Thanks Skyline and ISHAVSHOTEL

15/16aug18--Almost darkness near mid-night, Twilight and even that does not last long. Several minutes of twilight are now added each day and with-in a couple weeks there will be a 'night' here. It is thrilling to me to witness this live , via SkylineWebcams through our host here Scandic Ishavshotel.. EnJoy EnJoy
