Dear Wembley Store & Malta Tourism Authority: Thank you so much for returning this cam to its original view up the street. We can see so much more of what's going on now and you have made a lot of people very happy. Thanks again !

Hi Richard, yes, so happy that the view up the street is back. Like yourself and so many others, I too am waiting for the St. George's square cam to be back but I am not too hopeful since it's been gone for so long already. Hopefully someone will reply to you.

@Ann Galea: Looks like your wish was granted Ann! Nice return view. Now my wish is like everybody's: the return of the St George's square web cam!! Been missing this since last October and having appeared on it many times over the years when visiting, it would be nice to see the hustle and bustle yet again. Have the sentries been doing their job? All the events that we missed as well...……..please can someone let us know. Thanks from the UK. Cisk all.

Jon, it's always a possibility that someone might have complained but I don't see why? I e-mailed the hosts of the cam, The Wembley Store, a few weeks ago and also posted a comment for them on here but had no reply so I e-mailed the Malta Tourism Authority last week(since the cam is in collaboration with them)and I received a reply saying: "Your email is being forwarded to the department concerned for due attention". It would be great if we got our view up Republic Street back cause it's much more appealing than looking at the ground but I'm not too hopeful.

Ann; I wonder if someone further down the street complained about the camera. I agree it was much better when we could see right down the street. Hopefully it will get changed soon.

For all classical music fans: Andrea Bocelli/Joseph Calleja are performing at the Floriana Granaries tonight so that cam might be worth a look. Hopefully the sound won't be muffled as it tends to be sometimes :(

Oh no, Charles Grech closed! End of a era, end of an institution, how sad.

Dear Wembley Store, could someone kindly return this cam to its original position with the view up Republic Street? All we have is a view of the ground now. This is a 2nd attempt at having this corrected so your attention would be most appreciated. Thank you !

Yes, sad indeed Carol, considering it had been there since 1881.

Sad to hear about Charles Grech cafe. I remember it from when I lived in Malta many many years ago.

Was wondering how come the Charles Grech sign is down and no tables are outside. Just found out that this cafe has now closed for good. Sad news.

Dear Wembley Store, please adjust the camera to its original position. The cam is now pointing to the ground so we no longer get to see Republic Street. The original view was lovely, especially during festivities like Carnival. We who are far away appreciate your sponsorship. Thank you !
