Jean Patti: This could be to mark the February 10th celebration of the Feast of St Paul's Shipwreck. Big event in Valletta all day as it's a public holiday. Parades, marches and fireworks. Hoping the St Georges Square web cam is back on line soon. Cisk all.

Maybe they forgot that people around the world love to watch, and were frightened that the Maltese would watch cams instead of going to be part of the celebrations.
Missing a few of the cams I loved to go to. Smart City, St George's Square just to name 2 of the ones missing.

So sad they turned off the camera near The fountain and Saint Georges Square very disappointed I was so looking forward to seeing the celebration around the fountain or the square thank you to the ones that turned off the camera ....

The camera had in any case moved from Michael's restaurant to a holiday apartment block next door which, oddly enough, also closed for "renovations" a short time later.

Hi Kelvin, Yes it has. Michael's Restaurant, Valletta is undergoing renovation again, hence no camera. We all await its speedy return. Cheers from the UK.
