    All without touching the keyboard...

I like you 'new' system to show an unknown webcam before I open my regular one. So I get more impressions.

Yes User user64427494 - looks like you’re right - the weekends seem to be the busiest. Counted 6 cruise ships going in and out on yesterday’s timelapse!

I haven't managed to find a schedule for Venice. During the week there is only one or two cruise liners. Saturday and Sunday over the last few weeks there has been 5 or 6 large cruise liners in. As they are only slow moving its quite easy to check the dock area and see if any tugs are working. Most of the ships can be seen just above the buildings at the top right of the picture

Hi JF - yes I must admit I was surprised at seeing so many in one day. I have not looked at a cruise ship schedule for here (I have one for Valletta, Malta) so do not know if this is a daily occurrence.

00:43 August 20 - Hi PMM, Your post about the cruise ships on Time Lapse intrigued me. So I viewed it a few minutes ago, and counted 5 massive cruise ships entering, and 6 massive cruise ships departing over the course of the Time Lapse I viewed. Great observation PMM, especially because of the dispute about the ships with the Venetian residents. Must be a nightmare with 5 cities-worth of cruise ship populations descending upon the Venetians daily. There's thousands of people on each ship.

Interesting watching the time lapse on this cam - 4 or 5 cruise ships coming in at a time in one day. Can understand the locals unease. Difficult balance to get re tourism v environment.

At least 5 injured according to one report. Those damn things should be not be allowed anywhere near this beautiful city!

02.06.19. Heard the MSC Opera cruise ship has had a collision today in the Venice harbour - breaking away from a tug and unable to slow down, colliding into a river boat. :(

Hi Janie, they are there now, and having a great time. They are staying at the Bauer Casanova Hotel, rather nice it looks. We were there a few years ago, stayed at Hotel Principe on the Canal. Love Venice.

Hi Derek. Yes the weather was lovely...in the low 60s so fine to sit out for lunch in the sunshine but cool for walking around. Tell them to have a great time. Are they staying in the city or out at the Lido?
