Spent many a day out there as a kid Derek, short ride up the M61. Can't beat it and still enjoy an occasional visit. Weathers not the best at the moment but when is it ever :-)

Oh yes Derek, can't beat Blackpool especially when you can take your 'big coat' off. Was toying the with idea of going for the weekend but decided to go east instead to Filey. Maybe next year. Certainly a bit cooler than Dubai ;-)

The heat is draining, best thing to do is to keep near the metro stations which are air conditioned. The metro follows the highway so its easy to hop on and off.

4mar19--Did you expect something different than those temperatures, muffin? It is a dry heat and everything is air conditioned. Did you know Dubai won the 2020 ( November IIRC) Expo location. Book now at our host's facilities. EnJoy EnJoy

I loved my stay in Dubai - except for the heat, not used to 45c
