Thanks William. I know we will enjoy revisiting Sevilla. We did all the historical stuff on the last visit and this will never change. What seems to have changed is Sevilla has a lot more modern, big city things to offer. Shame in a way but that's progress as they say. The heart of the city is still there.

G'day William or should I perhaps say good evening. Sorry about the late post but only just picked up your comment. Wife and I spent a week in Granada last year, about this time. Had a wonderful time and wish to return in the not too distant future. Off to Sevilla next Wed for a week. Not been for 14years. Was wonderful then, so very very Spanish, and looking at these webcams I see things have changed a lot. Looking forward very much to this visit. Have much investigating to do.

10nov18--During all the Christmas holidays, lights of all colors flood the city. Streets, squares and buildings are illuminated with millions of lamps that meet the strictest requirements of respect for the environment and energy efficiency, lighting more but consuming less.
The ornamental lighting installed in Madrid at Christmas this year has new designs on different streets, as well as on Calle de Alcalá, from Cibeles to Puerta de Alcalá, the lighting will evoke the sky of Madrid covered with stars; in the street of Serrano these motives will represent different fabrics in homage to the street of fashion; and the firs of the Red de San Luis, calle de Fuencarral and the squares of Callao and Colón will also have new ornaments. To the usual municipal circuit that includes ornamental lighting design, chains and cherry trees, this year new sites have been added in several districts of the city. There will also be the traditional firs that will be located in the Puerta del Sol. EnJoy EnJoy

8/9nov18--After mid-night with the plaza still busy. Bucket truck finished its work. Tall crane gone. Testing for sparks. It is not just the first illumination of the tree , yet the holiday LIGHTING of the whole city. EnJoy EnJoy
