Thanks, i not sure, , it's always the way when can't remember. Maybe I ask in Preluna one day !!!!!!!!!!!! again thanks.
Dave, when I google City Gem hotel one of the AX Hotels(The Victoria or The Palace)come up so maybe it's one of those now.
Another Hotel long gone!!!!. A hotel, name I can't remember was in the middle of the Preluna buiding. It was demolished about 20 years ago, when the Preluna was extended. I cant find any pictures of it, but I do remember if looked so much of "old" Sliema. Anybody remember it ?
Thanks for the reply Keith. I was just curious as it was owned by a family member in the 50's and early '60's. I think only tourists or people who were old enough to have a drink at the hotel's bar would remember it.
@Ann Galea I was in Sliema 62-65 and 67-70, and I've never heard of that hotel.
@Carol Ex they were keeping the facade and building behind it, although the building was taller than the facade.
Does anyone who was living in Sliema in the 1950's or 1960's remember the City Gem Hotel?
Just noticed the close up view of a crane, which has reminded me, what has happened to the facade of the old Forces Family Clinic building? It was such a lovely building.

Hello Peter, yes, your original message on Triton has disappeared for some strange reason. Glad you got your full screen back.
@Ann GaleaYes thank you Ann. I did get your message and yes I can get full screen when logged in. My comment on the Triton must have been inappropiate because it was immediately deleted.
Peter Keddie, I replied to your message regarding "full screen" on the Triton Fountain cam. Just thought I'd leave a note here in case you missed it. Hope it helps !
My wife and I ate in the "Lean-to" attached to Fortizza last year, it was not very nice. When I asked to use the toilets I was ushered into Fortizza itself, which was amazing. I asked if we could it in there next time we came for a meal but was told no, only in the lean-to. Shame.
@BarbaraIf you mean the camera that looks downhill past the "Roman Baths" on the left, it is currently obscured by the crane in the foreground so there would be little point to having it switched on.
