@ Kathryn Elliott ~ I'll second that.. I'd like to see the place, not an empty car park

Could we have a little bit more sky and a bit less car park the Northern Lights have been amazing but you dont get to see much. The lagoon has looked great too with the colours of the ice.

As Mary Regan commented on the Stromboli site, it is interesting to watch what happened yesterday on timelapse. I had forgotten we could do that.

If they are going to film again today I hope they do not put the lorry in the way again.

Thanks Roger. I thought afterwards that it might be a basket. I missed the person getting out of it though. Disappointed with the lorry being out in the way though. I did take some photos before they did that.

Hi Mandy on the end of the crane was a basket from a hot air balloon which they lowered to the ground and somebody climbed out.

What is on the end of the crane? It won't let me take a photo

I recently read on the Iceland Monitor website that a production based on Jón Kalman Stefánssson’s novel "Summer Light, and Then Comes the Night" is currently underway ~ it could be that. This explains why the Mila webcam which gives another view of the glacier has been down for the past couple of days.

Hi Anne. It would be mean if they have re-parked it there on purpose. We were getting busier at the hospital, but I don't know now with the lockdown. It shouldn't affect us hopefully. We have a ward there which was for convalescence of the elderly from the main hospital in Slough, and last time they were sending coronavirus patients there to convalesce before they sent them home. Some of our doctors and nurses were helping out on the ward when we weren't seeing any patients. I work in a sexual health clinic and you would think that patients would be keeping to the 2 metre rule, but not so much! I think maybe we needed the complete lockdown as some people were going out partying and not caring about other people. Local lockdowns sounded confusing too. Take care.

Hi Anne. It was all going well until they re-parked the lorry right in front of the camera. Hope you are OK up there. Take care. Am taking pictures of the sunrise at the church.

Not a good place to park the lorry, we can't see anything now
