Locking the doors is probably a safety issue. But that is only a guess....

It’s good that the webcam has recovered. It is so interesting to watch small trains and train traffic.

When the passengers get in the carriages the train staff shut the door and appear to lock it, is this right? if so why would they do that? Terriffic little train set tho.

I thought it would be absolutely freezing pretty much all year round but its quite the opposite.
Average temps in summer are 24c July while Jan see's the lowest average of around -6. Summer sounds like it would be ideal for camping/ hiking etc.
Can't see me going on holiday there though if i'm honest ;-))

    Just googled this RHD
Karskaya station, at the end of the extension of the Obskaya–Bovanenkovo Line, in Russia, is the most northerly railway station in the world. The line to Karskaya, a town inside the Arctic Circle known for natural gas extraction, was completed by Gasprom in February 2011.

Four trains in steam today probably because the large cruise ship MSC Magnifica is in port.

Хорошо, что восстановилась работа веб-камеры. Так интересно наблюдать за маленькими паровозиками и движением поездов.
