Built between 1616 and 1630, the Church was designed by Architect Tumas Dingli and was consecrated by Bishop Alpheran de Bussan on December 11th 1732. The cathedral has two transepts and a 40 m (ca. 131 ft) long nave. There are two clocks on the front of the Church, one showing the actual time, while the other is a painting fixed at 11:45 am.
Once inside, breathtaking paintings and statues appear! The Victorja statue is the at the center of Naxxar Parish Church's most significant celebrations dedicated to Our Lady of Victories, held on September 8.
