...unless they move the fireworks and they're out of view of the cam. I guess the barge that they normally use to shoot off the fireworks was deemed unsafe so they moved over to the international dock and shot them up the bay towards that huge propane tank. What's wrong with this picture?

You should be able to see the fireworks on the 4th.

Off-line for 3 days. Back up today. Looks and sounds a little windy. The camera is really bouncing around too.

This cam went down right after my comment 3 weeks ago. Happy to see it's back up.

Glad to see this cam back on-line. Yaquina Bay is such a beautiful area. Love watching all the boat including the NOAA ships.

Make sure you go to the Sea Hag in Depoe Bay. Very good food and drinks. Great seafood of course and many other wonderful delicious items on menu.

The Oregon coast is one of my favorite places anywhere. Utah has some great places, but nothing like the beauty of the bay and ocean!

6apr18--from Yaquine Bay wiki : For a long time, Yaquina Bay was the midpoint between San Francisco and Seattle. from Newport wiki : Newport is the home of the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Hatfield Marine Science Center, Nye Beach, Yaquina Head Lighthouse, Pacific Maritime Heritage Center and Rogue Ales. Both wiki links have excellent pictures of coarse , and great reading. I imagined even more rain than indicated in the Climate section, ( blame media ). Oregon is one of a few states I've not visited, yet, so no first hand experiences. Searching for ' wineries Newport, Oregon ' shows 6 wineries with-in 25 miles of the bay here , three really close. If you are going to Newport Oregon be sure and travel south to Yachats and go to Cape Perpetua. I try to travel there every year. I missed this for years it very beautiful. They have an information center right off Highway 101. You can drive up to Cape Perpetua and walk to the lookout. It is a short hike that even a grandma like me can make. Also the Hat Field Marine Science Center is very interesting. There is so much to do and see in and around Newport Oregon.

I am going to be visiting this area in June. Can anyone recommend places to dine? Has anyone sampled the vino at Depoe Bay Winery? Is it any good? Are there any other winery suggestions in the area? I plan on going to the aquarium but other than seeing the view from the Yaquina Bay, and the majestic coast, I have yet to make solid site-seeing plans. I am so thrilled, I can't wait!
