Wonderful cam! This looks so much like one of my favorite beaches in Rincon Puerto Rico. Love it and love that we can hear the ocean.

    Hi Robin
Thank you for the comments and we are glad you enjoy our live cam, I am originally from Kenya myself and my parents moved to Seychelles in 1974, my mother is originally from the Seychelles and Ive been here ever since. It really is a great place to be, I can think of a lot of other worse off places to be living in right now. Its a safe destination and the life style is good overall like Island style living but the beauty of the Seychelles and and general peace and tranquility are what I like. We have seen changes over the years like vehicle traffic issues but I guess all that comes with progress. We are slowly slowly seeing the tourists returning after the reopening of our Airport. Things have slowed down it will come back and by next year we should be starting to recover with increases in tourist arrivals in what you now call the New Norms. It is predicted that it will take 2 or even 3 years for us to go back to pre-covid levels in terms of visitor arrivals.

Hello Richard - Thank you for the information oh dear I should have known I was born in Nairobi 80 years ago and spent many happy holidays on the beaches of Mombasa as a child and of course you are directly East of Mombasa. The beaches are identical with the finest white sand in the world. I visit your site very often the stunning view and sound of the waves breaking on the beach calm me. Thank you.

    Hi Robin
The oil leaking from the tanker is in Mauritius not Seychelles, yes it a big tragedy for Mauritius. The Island of Mauritius is further South from the main Island of the Seychelles Mahe about 954 nautical miles and the tanker oil spillage is in the Southern part of Mauritius. Hopefully we won't be getting any oil spillage from this tanker on our south western outlying islands. I think its okay to say we shall be safe from this.

Richard I am so very sad to read the news of the oil tanker leaking. This is a great tragedy for you and your beautiful country please be aware that I am sure all of your viewers will be heartbroken for you. I have viewed since you started and pray your beach is not affected. Robin..

    Hi Maria
The Camera lens just been wiped and cleaned looks good now. This time of the year in the South East Monsoon it does get hazy with all the salt spray and wind and needs wiping down at times.
