Not to be confused with the luxurious Trump Tower on 5th Avenue, this 927-foot (283 m) building was first known as the Bank of Manhattan and originally competed with the Chrysler for the title of “world's tallest skyscraper”. Although many higher skyscrapers dominate New York's skyline, 40 Wall Street stands out for its gothic-style architecture.
