This empty atmosphere makes me think of the song Vienna by Ultravox, even though of course Vienna is in Austria.

Two police cars parked at the side of the street. The odd dog walker and solo person and a street cleaning machine that has nothing to clean because no one is around to mess them up. There must be a song in there somewhere that Jacque Brel or Scott Walker could have sung. The emptiness is quite sad.

Very sad to see these beautiful empty cities.
My Rio de Janeiro is like that too.
The days are sunny, but we can't go to the beaches or the streets. Quarantine is necessary and we have to be aware of that.
We are in prayer for our Brazil and for the whole world.
I trust that we will soon overcome this virus.
    Amen.

It is very depressing to see all the beautiful beaches and towns, villages, mountain slopes and not a soul out. I am very sad for Italy and the whole world. Pat USA

I partially agree Rodney; architecturally yes but Bernini as a Sculptor is unsurpassed.

Wow!! You can see the Chiesa Sant Ivo spiral spire designed by Borromini in the upper left. Borromini's genius as an architect surpasses that of Bernini who constantly marginalized Borromini's talent. The two had real animosity for each other.

I love this view. You can get a sense of the enormous area that these fountains are in. This is really the Eternal City. Love from South Africa x

Interesting view Skyline? Although I prefer the ones that are closer to the people.
