Good hotel but never go to pizzeria Casa Italia in Ialyssos!!!
Nice atmosphere but most expensive and most salty pizza ever!
26,30€ (!!!!) for a pizza frutti di mare with 4 mussels, 3 shrimps, 3 calamares and 2 piece of squid (not fresh but from the freezer)...
I really never paid this kind of money for a pizza!!!
    How can this be possible??

We were there in Rhodes 1st July for 1 week, thank goodness the airport is been updated, going home the queues just to get through passport control and then security, this was a Sunday evening flight as well, we only just made the gate in time and that was allowing just under 3 hours to queue first of all in Ryanair queue, then queue to take the suitcase, then up the stairs to passport and security, please allow enough time! love Rhodes Town though see you next yea

Just back from 5 weeks on Rhodes and neighbouring islands. July was strange, more rain than we had in April but pleasant temperatures, maximum recorded during the month at the airport was 34C but most days were more like 28-30C. The hotel looks quieter than normal for this time of year?

Hi everybody, just got back from two fabulous weeks at the Electra Palace Rhodes. We wish we where back there - missing the cool winds already. Temperature was in the high thirties. Airport was great best it has been in 20 years of visiting Rhodes.

Hi TonyS we stayed across the road from the bus area at the top of the hill in LIndos. What a busy hill though! Taxis constantly going up and down and lots of people trying to pass on the narrow pedestrian area.

Went from Stansted took about 25 mins to check in.The place was ram packed could even sit down in a restaurant in Departures, from long stay car park was like a cattle truck, and even a traffic jam at 5 in the morning coming back and a fight to get back to long stay. Would'nt recommend Stansted!!

So how long did it take you to check in at UK airport ?
the problem at rhodes airport is TUI schedule too many flights close together.then they wont pay to open enough desks

Yes Audrey, noticed a few near misses on the crossing at the top of the hill at Lindos.

TonyS, can't say I enjoyed the airport experience either. I hope you avoided the 'near death experience' of the taxi drivers in Rhodes town - it's adds to my many memories.

Rhodes

Rhodes is a Greek island located in the southeastern Aegean. It is the third most populated Greek island after Crete and Evia. Rhodes, the island of Knights, offers to its visitors a journey into the past, party till the morning, cosmopolitan resorts and beautiful isolated beaches. As you can imagine, Rhodes is a place of contrasts. Located at the crossroads of two major sea lanes of the Mediterranean, the Aegean Sea and the coast of the Middle East. One of the main attractions of the island is the medieval city, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. It is the largest and best preserved fortified city in Europe with many monuments of Hellenistic, Byzantine, Medieval and Ottoman times. Moreover, the springs of Kallithea, the antiquities of Ialyssos and the Acropolis of Lindos, reveal only a small part of the rich heritage of the island. Near the city of Rhodes is the green valley of the Butterflies, a magnificent area that is filled with streams of running water and countless butterflies that offer an unforgettable spectacle.
