Have never seen the Lofoten so black. Not one light on here. Perfect for the Northern Lights. I wonder if that is why.

I keep hoping to catch the Aurora Borealis, and I check this site at least five times a week, but no luck yet. I live smack dab on the 45th parallel (which is almost exactly halfway between the Equator and the North Pole, and in my 65+ years living here, I've never seen them in person. A bit too far south for most magnetic storms. As an avid photographer, it has been a lifelong dream to photograph them. Fingers crossed they'll come to me cuz I can't afford to travel to them.

Thank you so much #Lofotenopplevelser for hosting this cam. I was just thinking about Yoko Ono and that light art installation she had somewhere around your islands, I think.

How cool is this? Not even 3 30 PM and so dark. Midnight dark. My relatives, some, came from this area and i think of them and their hardiness.

It gets dark so very early at this time of the year. Not sure I could handle that. It's just past 3 pm and already dark. Looks awesome in blue light of night.
