Work has been stopped on this project. Some of the workers tested virus positive. Will effect completion date.

Hi Glyn, just lucky with the timing but I probably do spend too much time on here, maybe once the work is completed it won't be quite as interesting watching all the cars wizz by. I'm expecting a change of road direction once the tarmac is finished, perhaps even this weekend.

Hi Kevin. That was good timing or you spend too much time watching the webcams!

Hi Glyn Bowen, I was looking at it when the camera technician spun it round, it was a long shot at first but then he zoomed it in to where it is now.

Dave S, those are pedestrian walkways. I think there is going to be 3 walkways.

JCC, from looking at the Infrastructure Malta website, these structures are seen at a few points around the Marsa junction. To me, they look like high level pedestrian walkways. If you look at that website and open the cam at Sir Paul Boffa Avenue, you get a good close up of work being undertaken on one of these walkways

Beneath the new roads and the flyovers, Infrastructure Malta is laying 15 kilometres of underground electricity, water, sewage, Internet and telecommunications services cables and duct routes. A storm water system, including a new reservoir, is also under construction. Rainwater from the reservoir will be used to water the new trees and the landscaped areas that the agency is preparing to embellish the Marsa Junction Project site.

Still not sure the reason for that construction. Control and maintenance centre for the whole project?

That would be below sea level in that part of the island.

Is all coming together now, the end is in sight, and when you look back to the hours sat in traffic jams before, the change, is so good.
