To the people here who are moaning... if you lived in a flat in Brighton near the front (google map it, there's loads), and you were allowed to exercise for an hour and go outside, what else are you supposed to do?

Yes, other countries are totally deserted, but they are on a forced, martial law-esque lockdown. We are being instructed to do nothing but exercise outside. I have not seen anyone in more than a 2 and today it's even quieter. The odd cyclist, alone, the odd runner, alone, which IS ALLOWED.

I still think people are finding a reason to be angry when there's no reason to be. I watched this camera for about an hour yesterday. I saw 2 people breaking the rules and sunbathing and they were moved on by the police. Runners, cyclists and walking dogs etc IS PERMITTED and it's still a hell of a lot quieter than it would be on a normal weekend or a normal sunny week day with no kids at school. Put it into perspective. Going outside hasn't been banned completely. All I have seen is people exercising and abiding by what they should. Look up Brighton on a normal weekend and you might feel a little differently.

I just hope that we go into a forced isolation just to teach these idiots a lesson. Sorry but that's how I feel.

Yes that's true, because they are on a forced lockdown. The government has permitted one of hour exercise outside the house or flat. The point is I'm not seeing anybody doing anything other than exercise (Apart from 2 people now sitting on the beach which IS against the rules)

Look at other countries and you will not see half of what your seeing here.

I think there's a bit of over reaction going on in the comments. I've been watching this camera for 15 minutes now and I'm not seeing anything that's really not allowed. An ordinary day like this would see a LOT of people sitting on the beach, and I'm glad to see the actual beach is completely empty.
Brighton is a big city with quite a big population and a lot of flats near the front, which will have no gardens. The people we are seeing cycling and running will most likely be these residents where the promenade IS their local form of exercise. I have not seen anyone in more than a 2 apart from 3 cyclists close together, which may be from the same household.
I would be very angry too if I saw lots of people sitting on the beach but all I'm seeing is exercise which has been permitted by the government.

What is wrong with these people. Don't they realise their selfish actions will have a huge effect on those people who are staying in. I have lost count of the number of cyclists i have seen very close to each other. Stop it now.

Sunday 9.52 - out of curiosity I've watched this camera for about 5 minutes, there are loads of people about....will people not learn until the government is forced to bring in measures like Italy. Previous to flicking onto this camera, watched numerous police on patrol near the Spanish Steps, using a drone (not sure what for) and checking the paperwork of anyone on the streets. In about 15 minutes of watching, I saw a lady walking her dog, who appeared to be "cross-examined" by police, and then had to sign something, and one other person. I despair at the selfishness of the small minority of people, who won't do as they are asked.
