Considering all the money that is being spent on new roads, how come flooding seems to be getting worse?
I passed through here yesterday on the 41 bus about four to six inches of water, valley road lived up to its name with a torrent all the way along. Gan canny folks.
Could flooding be a thing of the past, with the news being announced that 2 flyovers are planned for the Msida junction. No time scales given, but graphics in T of M look good. Or will it still be flooded underneath ...............
21.03.29. The roundabout is flooded!!! Cars just about getting by. Heavy rain the last couple of days.
The results of the overnight downpour will be with us for most of the day
29dec17-- A Thank You to our hosts, MSIDA Local council & TM Transport Malta - Malta Police Traffic Branch, for sponsoring this 'live cam' view on 5th October Square Roundabout, Msida, splendid.
Msida's roundabout flooded yet again.....is anything being done to solve this reoccurring ?
Plodging time in Msida again, at least it will keep the dust down. Gan canny folks.
The place in question is VALLEY Road leading to the sea, so it's obvious that it's always flooded when it rains. Buildings shouldn't go up in valleys and then there wouldn't be any need to complain about regular flooding.
Yes Gordon, it looks like it needs a flippin great hole in he middle of the road
I see that M'sida has flooded again...... this always seems to be when there is a bit of heavy rain, cars always seem to get stuck by the Round-a-Bout, how come this problem has NEVER been solved?
Another glimpse of Maltese planning I'm afraid.
In the 1970's, there was a plan to raise this part of the valley so that water can pass underneath. But they never got down to it. Three or four years ago they did a tunnel from the centre of the island to the sea so that it can take a large portion of the rain water. Hopefully, they will be taking care of this as well in the next seven year, or at least, that's what we have been promised.
and its damp today Derek
