Pjazza Gerano ......charming and peaceful square ! Not yesterday on Easter Monday ! Bikers, Hikers, and so many cars all going down to Wied il- Meilah. I fear it is being promoted as the new Azur Window tourist attraction and it is the end of peaceful. The new direction notice tied on to the tree, got blown by the wind and the arrow pointed down the one way street to Bisop Molineaux square . People were getting so cross and the cars all going the wrong way.
The Gharb Church is still missing from the Gozo Webcams, is there a problem or is it being discontinued?
Christine .the camera has probably broke.
Why has the Gharb Church Cam been discontinued?
Happy New Year ! Peace and happiness for 2017. Hope to meet you in Pjazza Gerano ! X
Aye Jaqueline.I must have been unlucky .will try harder next time.my olive tree is getting a hammering too in the front garden.
Good Evening Derek I was also in Gharb for the last two weeks in October and beginning of November and ate a couple of times on the terrace at Rangers Bar so think you must have been unlucky ☹️ . Just checked out the live cam and the olive tree is being battered by the wind tonight !
Jaqueline. The Rangers bar was closed in October when I visited so used the Kunvent, sat out side watching the traffic and eating the Lampuki (not sure if the spelling is correct)
Thanks Jacqueline Appreciated. I've made a note of them for when we're there.
Hello Jon - lots of favourites.....The Roof Terrace at Rangers Bar.The pavement tables at Il Kunvent .Ta Karolina in Xlendi The courtyard at Il Wileg in Qala .......Cheers !
The church cam has gone again. What a disappointment, I was looking forward to seeing the traditional Christmas decorations, including the tree and Nativity scene. Mayor David, can you help?
Hi Jacqueline; We're stopping in Gharb next August (rented a house). We visited for a few hours this years when we were on Gozo. Seemed very nice (as the rest of the island is). This year we stayed near the ferry in Marfa. Any tips or recommendations for our stay would be appreciated. Thanks.
Eek ! Wrong spelling earlier .......I mean Wied il-Mielaħ .
Three weeks here in Gharb and two days of heavy rain (much needed by the farmers)and now the fountain has stopped working ! Also I was sitting in the 'Charming and Peaceful Square' last weekend when there was a hooting and tooting and the Tourist Train arrived full of shouting and laughing passengers ! I laughed and waved them off as they then snaked there way down to the cliffs at Wiel-il-Meil.
