PATTI, I hope so.
This little shop does normally close at the end of the winter "season" for holidays I expect. They'll return in a few weeks I'm sure
There is a holiday today in Germany, perhaps it's connected, let's hope so
Thanks cc will keep looking every morning
Well, the email hasn't been answered so no news on the shop owner. I'm just going with the thought they're taking a break. If I do hear back, I'll post the news! Have a great evening!
In reply to CC, I too look every day to see if the older gentleman is on the go. I reckon they're taking some kind of break. Hope they're all OK.
its so nice to see other people worried that the paper shop is closed hope CC hears back from the hotel and we find out if there all ok been watching all through winter lovely place
I sent an email to the hotel with the webcam to see if they know anything about if the elderly news shop owner is okay. I figure in a town that small, most shop keepers and business owners know each other... Who knows of they'll answer but I thought it was worth a shot. Hope he's alright. I feel like I sort of know him, I look at this webcam at least once a day---the view just charms me!
Almost 7 am on Wednesday and the paper shop isn't opening. Usually the elderly gent has the awning pulled out is getting things out in the tables. I hope he's okay. Hopefully they're all taking a break after all the stress of these last months. I'm thinking of them and hoping for the their health and well being.

Forgot to tell you that the edge of the tall white building on the left is the edge of the church.
The source of the bells is from the church of St. Michael ( Chiesa di San Michele)If you go on Google maps street view you will be surprised!
