Yes Pete it is very sad with what is happening in Benidorm everywhere closing down through no fault of their own im hating this virus and be glad when it is all over with, but like you cant see anything changing anytime soon not this side of christmas anyway
What’s really depressing is watching the video clips on You Tube showing the streets dead, everywhere closed and even the indoor market only having a few people in.
We are the same we only pay on arrival. Already have our three bookings for next year confirmed. Although I don’t think things are going to get better anytime soon. Spoke to friend who lives there today, they said quieter than ever as a lot of the Spanish have gone home now.
Hi Pete we were due to fly out tomorrow too for 2 weeks and that been cancelled twice also first June and now September Hotel been very good though they have rolled us over again now till june next year, so very sad for all of Benidorm really
Should have flying back out tomorrow for the month of September but have had to cancel that, so that's 2 holidays missed now. Fingers crossed for January & February. Although if rules change before then may do a quick trip if possible. Stay safe everyone.
Hi nookie sorry for the late reply ive been visiting my family, thankyou and yes i get your drift thankyou for your kind words, have a lovely week everyone
Cant sunbathe until 9am? Sometimes i wonder exactly who is making the rules up, its like the world has gone crazy. What happens at 9am that suddenly makes sunbathing ok?
Just realised you can still have your early morning walk along beach just carnt sunbath our use beds till beach opens for sunbathing at 9a.m.
I dont see the point in these lockdowns unless the health system is at breaking point and theres no other option. Why bother if as soon as the lockdown is lifted, the virus will start reinfecting people? Its not going to go away and the UK governments first plan of herd immunity was the right one. We should be protecting the vulnerable and allowing the younger, healthy people to gain immunity in the population otherwise we will never get out of this constant cycle of lockdowns followed by a couple of months of easing followed by another lockdown.
Hi Sandra, i put a post on here a few days ago describing people who abused you, and other key workers, who the majority of decent minded people in society are absolutley sick of, needless to say it was taken down. I obviously cannot describe them again, but i think you get the drift of my comments. A big thank you, and god bless you all.
Hi Avril thankyou for your kind, lovely words, have a lovely evening :)
Hi all you who have been working, keeping me and the rest of us in food supplies, you have lput your and your families lives on the line for us. Thank you is not enough, but it is all we can say. I clapped for all workers, as well as the NHS. I am disgusted that anybody can be offensive to someone who is helping to keep food on our tables.
Hi LynnD and Paul thankyou for your lovely thoughts and words, i wished everyone could be like you, i have been shouted at, spat at and i have had things thrown at me, the mentality of some people as you say i cannot understand either, and Paul i think ( Pet ) is both endearing and friendly i hope you both have a lovely week take care both of you :) :)
Hi Lynn d, your words will be accepted from all shop workers across the country pet. It’s a shame that some of the awkward customers don’t appreciate the staff like yourself, excuse the (pet) word it’s just a Geordie thing!
Hi all, Sandra Blackmoore and Paul, I am not a keyworker but I have witnessed supermarket staff bring hurled abuse at. I really don't understand the mentality of some people. We are all in this together. Since lockdown I have been going to my local supermarket once a week and make a point of thanking the girls on the checkouts for being there, even going to the point of giving them chocolates or flowers. Please don't think you and your families are not appreciated during this worrying time. It's just a minority. Thank you all. Stay safe and keep watching the webcams from around the world from Skyline and various hosts.:)xx
I think it's crazy to ban flights to the Canary Islands when the outbreak was in the north east of Spain, "sledgehammer to crack a nut" springs to mind.
