Just looked at forecast on holiday weather. Showing rain for Sat, Sun and Mon. Partly sunny for the rest of the week.

Let's hope the forecast is wrong and it starts clearing up (although EL PAÍS was saying last week that the weather would be bad over Easter so maybe not). Having said that, thunderstorms are forecast for tomorrow and they can be really spectacular.

How annoying if you're in Benidorm this weekend with the weather as it is in the UK. Sat in the back garden. Warm and sunny.

I really like Benidorm and visit maybe twice a year. My sister says try somewhere different (they've been all over the world) but feel comfortable here as I holiday on my own.. I stay on the old town side of the Levante beach, though quite fancy trying the Poniente side for a change. Better the devil you know!!

We have found over the years that a holiday in January is totally different to a holiday in May & September.

We found some very nice apartments on the strip and the owners live on the top two floors with all their family. We leave stuff there that we don’t need in the U.K. so less to pack. It has a nice pool and whilst not too many Sunbeds unlike the big hotels very few people put towels down for the day early. You get the odd idiot but they soon learn no reason to do it. Any problems with apartment normally fixed within ten minutes of reporting it. It is very secure and very reasonably priced. Even if one of our sun visits whilst we are there no extra charge and extra bedding and towels received on request. It’s almost like a home from home.

Do you go to the same hotel Pete? If so, they will be like friends to you. Enjoy yourself when you are there.

Hi Pete, i can understand that now, 3 hours is enough flying time. i used to wonder why you are so mad on Benidorm.I used to go a lot then i suppose i got bored going to the same place twice a year.Still better than staying home though, Sun is worth it

In my 70 years I have been to most places, also 23 years in the Army meant I traveled a lot. I can only fly now up to 3 hours due to legs swelling so Benidorm is ideal we have a nephew in Portugal that we visit now and again.
