Live streaming views of eruptions from the Cumbre Vieja Volcano in La Palma

The Cumbra Vieja is an active volcano on the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands, in Spain. Its Spanish toponym literally means "Old Peak". Located in the South of the island, La Palma is the fifth largest of the central Canary Islands, it's home to the Cumbre Vieja Nature Park and to the amazing Volcano Route (Ruta de los Volcanes). The route embraces the main volcanic cones and provides tourists with unique views of La Palma, La Gomera and Tenerife.

Cumbre Vieja can potentially generate eruptions and tsunamis that could affect most of the North Atlantic Ocean coastline. Eight Strombolian eruptions of the Cumbre Vieja Volcano have been observed, the last in September 2021.
