I will never forget flying in, the night when the lights went off on the Bangkok runway.

It's a funny thing, when you are in a place you don't see it like you do on a cam. We were there on the king's 80th birthday, I guess it was 2007 Does that sound right? We were able to see all of the beautiful temples and travel throughout the city with no problems. But It was packed with well wishers. There was a sea of umbrellas everywhere you looked. Amazing and very exciting. We also took a beautiful river tour, ate at a fabulous restaurant. etc. It was special and every was celebrating. Don't remember see all of the tall buildings at all. We went again with the kids a few years ago and saw many of the same places. We had a great tour guide, really hip, which the kids loved. Same beautiful palaces and temple, the golden buddha, the emerald buddha, the reclining buddha, etc. I still don't remember the buildings. lol. Maybe that's a good thing. We enjoyed all of the old and ornate buildings. They are the most amazing in the world.

I later saw it inverted at the top of the photo, so I guess it has something to do with the camera lens.

What is that grey arch/rainbow over Bangkok? Too perfect to be natural, I think.

Agree with Shcw, you can't tell it's a webcam, would've been great to have it for ex. on Khao San Road or somewhere in Chit Lom ..are so many great places one can spend hours enjoying looking at this great city, one of my top fav destinations, can't wait to visit again!

Thanks & all to the hotel hosting this cam, but it is just so boring...like a photo. Can they not aim it at a busy street nearby or something with some life?

Congratulations! To all collaborators and especially to the DIVER, who saved the 13 players. Who won the WORLD CUP-2018, were the divers who saved those 13 lives. A big hug to all - BRAZIL. 7/13/18
