well nobody answered my question about what was bubbling ? but now it looks like its turning to slush (?) i can see a pattern all over the surface so I assume it has pumps in it to keep it circulating ?? ( the weirdest things occupy my mind during another lockdown).

Can anyone tell me what the strange ripples are that sometimes appear on the lake? I have put up a photo previously

Seen here Mount Sassongher Elevation: 8,743′ Prominence: 755′. imo The 'live cam' is located near the alpine restaurant Piz Arlara. The arrival area is then 3,400 feet (1.04 km) to the northwest ish. Corvara snuggled into the valley below. Through the ' locate ' link then to the full google map ( at the scale of 50 feet ) there are 8 360o image spheres which have the location both white and green if you know what I mean. Fantastic views. EnJoy EnJoy

The arrival area of Col Alt ski lift is the building slightly above the middle of the image. Though very tiny the cable cabins can be SPOTTED ( moving spots ) just to the left of that building. The Dolomites are so dramatically beautiful, eh?

1apr18--The Col Alt ski lift is of particular importance not just for Alta Badia. It was actually the first ski lift in Italy, built way back in 1946. The latest version, celebrating 60 years from when the first ski lift began to operate in Italy, replaced the chairlift with the current cablecar with 8-seater cabins.<< from Movimënt __ Alpine farm houses & barns, Eileen Clarke.
