Allen, they are paying for it so they can have it where they want, you are not paying for it you get it for free because they pay for it
Sigita, wonderful photo at 7.41, 24/3, looks like a rocket launch!!
Found that on some other cams e.g.. Spanish Steps in Rome.
Why do we have to have the sponsor sign on the screen? Could be somewhere else on the page??
Good fiery eruptions going on. Despite all the recent trauma going on to the human race, old Mother Earth just rumbles on as she has for billions of years.
wow that was a sudden bigger explosion 20:38 orso
Hello, Always happy to see "My" Stomboli at work! However could you tell me when the Sciara del Fuoco webcam will be working again? Thanks and Stay safe!
Muffin, I feel your pain. I work 4 days a week from 06:00-18:00 in large UK transport company outside the city, when I come back home and try to do some shopping... well you can only imagine the post-apocalyptic view in stores. Anyway, last weekend I ordered 2 big trays of food online, only because I couldn't buy anything at local supermarkets and eating takeaway pizza every day isn't very healthy. I just can't imagine all the elderly people ordering online, some of them are struggling to pay by card on checkout...
Hi Everybody, Yes this virus has set everybody into panic mood stockpiling on everything. Its so selfish seeing everybodys trolleys overstacked with all items. Here in NZ its the same. It makes me feel like taking something out of their trolley and putting it back on the shelf for somebody. Yesterday I wanted some rice and pasta but the shelf was empty. Its so annoying when you also see dairy owners buying up large for their grocery shop and charging about 3 times the price than a supermarket. grr. That is a rip off .
Thanks Pam. I don't feel bad for myself, I bad for all the people who have to deal with the fallout now. I feel sorry for all the less abled people who cannot get essentials because of selfish panic buyers here in the UK. It makes me feel very angry. I felt very bad cancelling everything and for those who now have very little coming in and relied on tourism. I hope all governments can come together, forget profits and disputes. Looking at cams across Europe is very eerie right now, wishing everyone well.
Rick, so sorry to hear of your misfortune.Happy to see this cam up again. I love watching and listening to the great mountain rumble and belch! All of us will get through this virus. I especially send hugs and prayers to the people of Italy
I had to cancel my trip last year cos of a stupid broken leg. Had to cancel again cos of the stupid virus. I was going in two weeks time. I feel so bad and sorry for the folk that make a living there. I hope this current problem does not spell disaster for them or for anywhere else, come to that, affected by it. While tourism can be a major problem in a lot of places, it has created a living for many people. Panic buyers, be damned. Lets hope we can all look after each other and see it through to the other side. I know it's only words, but sending good wishes to everyone affected by this x
hi all grate show today lots of hot ash
I was lucky enough to take a small boat to float off the coast at sundown, and witness the half hourly Strombolian activity. No lights on any boats, and when she blew. Just like a firework display with cheers and much clicking of shutters!
some great blow outs this evening, then just as suddenly it "sleeps". Nice to have the cam on at night again, seems like months!
04:47 March 3, 2020 (Italy time) - So good to see that this Stromboli cam is back online. It is dark and there is no nighttime eruption on Stromboli at the moment, but I hear the wind. It is so dark that I cannot even see if the camera is pointed at the crater. Will have to wait until daylight.....hmmm. Currently 53 people watching the darkness.
