Reminiscing about my visit to the islands last year in late September. There were still tour activities but the season was winding down, there were very limited tours and some places were already closed. We stayed on Salina for 3 days, took a Stromboli cruise, and saw wonderful bursts of fiery lava after the sun went down.

Looks as though the summer season is over. All the beach facilities have gone. Guess the volcano tourists will still go, even over the winter. Do not think their winter's will be as bad as our's in the UK though.

Stromboli harbour and volcano + Sciara del fuoco webcam out again! Please do something!

Sciara del Fuoco went on for short time today and out again by now, other cams are out as well, Skyline said that it was because they run on solar power but in my mind the cutoff is also due to poor maintenance.
