Thanks Deborah, not hopeful but August is still a while off so fingers crossed. I am glad you enjoyed your trip. Prague is just a magnificent city.
Dunc-have a wonderful trip. I am so jealous. Hope the coronavirus is under control by then. I have cousins from Germany coming to America for the first time also in August. It is a wait and see. I guess.
Yeay, just booked a trip back in August. All things being well.Looking forward to be back in my fave city
Hollis and thank you, I am back and did all you mentioned and more. I could spend a week there and not see it all. Loved Old Town and got to know it. kept getting lost and it was wonderful. Ready to kill all the tourists-even though I was one-they were everywhere and I was in shoulder season and during the week!!! Amazing accordion player on the Charles Bridge and ;loved the Rodeo Drive of stores in the Jewish Section. Traffic a nightmare!!! Loved it very much.
Deborah, hope it's not too late. Praga mater urbium, my hometown. My love, my life. You mentioned the castle, worth a day, if you want to see some, I'll throw some points in: St Vitus Cathedral and it's treasures, the astronomical clock, the old market square, Charles bridge (sure), the Jewish Ghetto, the "Golden Lane" (Zlatá ulička in Czech) where once among some wizards Kafka had a house, visit Malá Strana and drink a locally brewed Beer :-), if you happen to need more, just tell me. Also, there's a thing you absolutely can NOT avoid in Praha: guided tour groups. The City tends to be very very crowded with them.
Scott-I will be there for the first time this fall-any suggestions? I am staying in Old Town and have a day set aside for the Castle. Look to just wander!
See you in 2 Weeks (*_*)
Just got back and all I can say is WOW!!! It was fantastic, this is a must see destination!!!
I love these pictures of Prague. In the late 1800's my great grandparents emigrated from what was thenBohemia to the U.S. I have often wondered if I still have relatives in the Prague area.
Please add more live cameras in Prague, until now we have only two and it's not enough! It's a best place in the world!!!
Museum of Medieval Torture Instruments sponsoring. I could have sworn it was housed in my high school when I was there. Hmmm.
een there nice place to visit
My Favorite city, love this view and I can't say how many times I have crossed this bridge. Need to go back
2 bribes and grooms having their photo taken. looks like you can get married early in prague... it is only 7.30 AM
How good! this is beautiful! although I live thousands of kilometers away, I have met in a tram that circulates online and it is wonderful, because I can say, that I know Prague virtually.
Kirby, I did, too!
