I wonder if they have consent to put tables on the Opera House steps, or is a matter that if they cant't take street space they do as they want?

the façade of the opera house should be restored.. Since there is another opera house now. The restored
building could be a museum of art and antiquities

It seems the Maltese have a thing about not restoring the opera house. They restored everything else. They say the money for restoration from the Germans was stolen

Correct, lets hope that the Royal Opera House soon gets restored to the grand building it once was, and no this Piano compromise.

All this concrete is to much to see... soooooo boring.... Don’t like this view at all... What have they done to Valletta ? The other side of the road with the beautiful balconies is much more interesting and very much the Gothic style Valletta I love...

I was in Malta in March and what a contrast to the scene today what normally is a bustling thoroughfare in and out of Valletta today looks so sad ,let us hope and pray the world is soon rid of this invisable evil that has that has changed all our lives .Stay safe everybody .

its so sad to see the place empty ,virtually no one in the street and the restaurant closed ,such a contrast to my last visit in October when I could hardly get moved walking through Republic street. gan canny and keep ah had.

I see the tables are spreading upwards now instead of outwards.

I like the music it attracts the customers to the cafe. Glad to see the people enjoying themselves here. GAC
