I do not know who the contractors are on this project. Not the knowhow in Malta. Notice Turkish LHS vehicles are used.

I agree Peter, it has been a very interesting project to watch from all the available cameras, I guess it will be completed in the next few weeks and all the large machinery will just become a memory. I was hoping we would be able to visit Malta and Gozo again this year, last year our May holiday had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 and it is already looking doubtful as we go in to yet another lockdown in the UK, maybe later in the year. Stay safe.

Traffic monitoring from Labour Street. I know this is a traffic cam but I've loved watch the construction over the last few years

Traffic is flowing much better than before the overpass was built. Before traffic would cross the 6 lanes of the road, and if they could not get where they wanted to, would pass back over the 6 lanes to their original lane.

Can’t believe this road is supposedly finished. Why open the road and the sides aren’t finished! BARRIERS NEEDED IN THE MIDDLE... Driving is horrendous , worse in the wet ....

Hi Pauline and Peter, There is a double white line which shouldn't be crossed but I guess in Malta it's just a suggestion not a rule. There was a 30 speed restriction during the road work but now as part of the north/south link it's probably 80 although as this is in effect a slip road it should be less, maybe when they install all the direction boards on the overhead gantry they will install speed signs too.
