10-18-20 Maldives National day on sand. If you go to host site webcam(same view) you can zoom in.
They are being very precise on whatever they are putting on beach .
05:30 local time and the staff is already raking the beach, bright and early~~well, not so bright at this time~~beach lights are still on! Haven't been able to take photos lately, though.
It is lovely to see these beautiful views. I wonder if we will get the other camera view back, from the Uthuru bar.
The weather hasn't really been sunny this past week. At least, the tourist season is not in full gear, yet.
Poor day for their first day back Grey clouds, wind and rain.Hope things pick up for them
Seeing this view is probably the nearest I will ever get to this lovely place but watching the Guard of Honour this morning was quite moving and I would like to wish all the people there the very best of luck in the future.
1st September 11.30 Looks like a Guard of Honour on the pie
Thanks for moving the cam back
Much better view. Guests in 2 days!
@06:52 local time~~our heron friend is at the shoreline, looking for breakfast!
The island is supposed to be opening for guests on September 1st. The camera looks like it is back to the beach view.
I hope its not staying like this, i will miss the heron and the people walking along the beach
@Joan Simon Hi Joan, thanks for the info and assumed they must be doing work there as had seen on other cameras on islands too before they went. Lets hope they go back once work completed x
Hmmm, jury's out on the new view!
@Babejaz~~~They were rehabbing the beach, so could be they are waiting for the "big reveal" before turning the camera to show the beach? See photos.
