Thank you Comune di Pisa! Love the roam and the close up. I had no idea how beautiful the leaning tower is!

'Live-cam' to tower distance is 3,000 feet (914 meters) . At one time, the bell tower leaned 5.5 degrees with underground foundation work the tower was brought back to just under a 4 degree lean towards the south.

Hahaha! Neil, if you only knew how afraid I am of heights! I was glued to the wall furtherest from the fence! Heights are for the birds!

It's fun to see the people at the top of the tower who have climbed all those stairs! I will say, it felt a lot higher when I was one of them standing up there than it does to look at it from this vantage point!

28mar18--From first hand experience I knew the directional view of this 'live cam' is almost exactly the direction the bell tower leans towards. Notice the title of the web feed here is The Tower Of Pisa, and does not say leaning. We all know it leans and is the most famous leaning building in the whirled. Even during construction the engineers knew the building was sinking on the south side thus tried to correct that low side by building the south side slightly higher ( taller ) { adding more weight to that side and exacerbating the issue} - Silly Engineers. So the tower has a built in curve or banana shape. neat stuff huh, Richard? Thank you, the City of Pisa ❤ Pisa ❤ EnJoy EnJoy

I just discovered this one. Very nice. The tower must be leaning toward the cam (or away). Hey Capture Sam. Nice historical context.

26mar18--The black and white photograph from1966 is of the horrible flooding and the men sandbagging the banks of the river, uploaded from a man who was involved then and now a SkylineWebcams viewer and contributor. Imagine his pride from over 50 years ago. EnJoy EnJoy ❤ Pisa ❤

What an amazing camera ... I love the roving cameras as one gets a sense of where everything is. Thank you to Comuna di Pisa for bringing this wonderful scenery to us. Love Sharron in South Africa :)
