So sad to hear of the wildfires spreading in Gran Canaria, now visible from space. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the safety of the brave firefighters x

28nov18--La Laguna extends the hours for bars and restaurants at dawn from December 1 to December 2 so that the celebration of the Noche en Blanco can be carried out. EnJoy EnJoy

As the camera pans round to where the hills are right at the top of the shot, you can just make out Teide, to the right of the hills. Got some snow on it.

Lovely web cam, I love the Airport bit especially, very extensive populated place but I guess Airport areas always will be.

Had time to read up about the crash now. What an awful event. So many lives lost. I went to Tenerife a few years after this and the only airport was in the south as this one was still closed.

I remember in 1975 going to Tenerife for my first holiday abroad and we couldn't land at this airport due to the bad visibility so had to go to Gran Canaria for one night! I seem to recollect that the airport wasn't used for some years until radar and such like was installed or improved.

Thanks Ruby, I knew there was something but didn't have time to look it up then. Will look now.
