As the camera pans round to where the hills are right at the top of the shot, you can just make out Teide, to the right of the hills. Got some snow on it.
Lovely web cam, I love the Airport bit especially, very extensive populated place but I guess Airport areas always will be.
Brilliant web Cam
Had time to read up about the crash now. What an awful event. So many lives lost. I went to Tenerife a few years after this and the only airport was in the south as this one was still closed.
I remember in 1975 going to Tenerife for my first holiday abroad and we couldn't land at this airport due to the bad visibility so had to go to Gran Canaria for one night! I seem to recollect that the airport wasn't used for some years until radar and such like was installed or improved.
Thanks Ruby, I knew there was something but didn't have time to look it up then. Will look now.
Shelley, in 1977 two 747s collided in fog on the runway at Los Rodeos airport (now Tenerife North Airport) killing 583, 61 survived.
Fab views from this webcam.Isn't that the airport where there was a massive crash about 30/40 years ago? Think it was Queen Sofia or something back then.
21nov18-- A Thank You to our host, Town Hall of La Laguna, for sponsoring this 'live cam' PamCam view of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, fantastic. Welcome to SkylineWebcams.
Wow, The most interesting views I have seen in a long time. Brilliant. I suspect this will quickly become a very popular cam.
