Why are you all arguing there has been a lot of deaths whichever way you look at it, if it was me there I would stay indoors to make sure I was safe ???? There is so many on the beech it does seem a bit stupid of them as they cannot keep away from each other as there is not enough room, hence more chance of catching the virus. ( who knows for sure) just try and stay safe and healthy (that's my opinion) but I am sure someone will have to contradict me ( there has now been 44k confirmed in Florida as of today 17/05/2020 take car everyone

Coraline, Lee County where this beach is located had just 17 new cases yesterday. The whole of Florida has a population of 21 million and had just 386 new cases yesterday, New York, New Jersey and Illinois saw well over 1000 new cases yesterday despite being under strict lockdown for nearly 2 months.

user66081422, the President has never said anything of the sort. He has said that some states should re-open though and if you look at the figures, many of the 50 states have had very low numbers of infection and there is no reason for them to stay shut.

Supra John, Here is the first paragraph of an article today in the Miami Herald:
"Florida’s Department of Health on Saturday morning confirmed 802 additional cases of COVID-19 — more than twice the number of cases reported Friday morning. The state now has a total of 40,001 confirmed cases."

Their president says it's all over, get back to work, so they must be safe. Mustn't they?
