Our webcam in Lampedusa offers a spectacular view of Cala Guitgia. This amazing island, south of mainland Sicily, belongs to the Italian Pelagie Islands in the Mediterranean Sea and, specifically, to the Sicilian province of Agrigento.
As the southernmost point of the Italian territory, just before the African coast, Lampedusa is known for frequent migrant landings and unspoiled natural beauty.
The island's name comes from the Greek 'Lopadùsa', probably connected to the unique lightning flashes that, during storms, would illuminate the shore rendering it visible to sailors.

Lampedusa offers incredible beaches, in addition to Guitgia beach many small coves can be found in the southern part of the island such as Cala Pulcino, Cala Croce, Cala Madonna and Spiaggia dei Conigli.
