Located on the northern tip of the island deep in a cove and owes its name to the residents of Souliotiki origin, who were chased by Ali Pasha and escaped to Paxos and Antipaxi. In Lakka you will find the stone lighthouse which was built in 1832, and has a height of 36 meters and rises 108 meters above sea level.
The picturesque small harbor is very popular for those traveling by boat while the safe waters of the bay anchor many vessels of all types and sizes. Lakka consists of traditional houses, beautiful streets and small squares. You can admire the sunset from the lighthouse and visit the sea cave of Ipapanti, which was a refuge for submarines of the allies during the Second World War. Port and capital of the island is Gaios.
