The camera button doesn't seem to be working. It works fine on other cams, but at the moment, for me at least, it isn't working.

Since the storms, this camera has obviously got sand or dirt because the image is not as sharp as it was before.

@ Just James. That would be awesome! I would love to “escape” on a daily bases there for sure. Lol!

@Jeannie: That sounds amazing. Get your mum to set up a web cam then you can virtually visit home whenever you like - and we could all come too! A sign winter is coming: I notice that most of the boats have been taken out of the water. There' are only 8 left now.

@Just James. It’s amazing how powerful waves are. I visit my mom in Puerto Rico and the beach by her house has massive waves crashing on the rocks at times that they could just cover a building. Nothing like the beach! My happy place.

@Jeannie I used to live in Brighton. There was nothing more spectacular than watching the waves break over the harbour walls when there was a storm. The shots from here - it surprised me to see the surf actually hitting the buildings.

26/09 That's a big change from yesterday when the waves were rolling up to the buildings - check out the photos.

It's not even 8am and people are already setting up on the beach and some are even swimming.

@stephen cook I was just watching this cam (11:15 18/09) because I really like this beach and I saw an umbrella / beach mat seller walk right the way up, stood for a few minutes and started to make his way back down the beach. I don't know what it is about this beach - it just looks really friendly and not all orgaised with rows and rows of umbrellas. And people seem to stand in the water and chat a lot..

This sure is a popular place. Yesterday morning, there a few people were setting up their brollies, presumably for the day. And what an evocative name- the Bay of Silence!

Not quite “Silent Beach” today. It’s heaving with sun seekers, and I’d love to be one of them right now.
