@Just James. It’s amazing how powerful waves are. I visit my mom in Puerto Rico and the beach by her house has massive waves crashing on the rocks at times that they could just cover a building. Nothing like the beach! My happy place.
@Jeannie I used to live in Brighton. There was nothing more spectacular than watching the waves break over the harbour walls when there was a storm. The shots from here - it surprised me to see the surf actually hitting the buildings.
@“Just James” those waves yesterday were so fierce. It was beautiful.
26/09 That's a big change from yesterday when the waves were rolling up to the buildings - check out the photos.
It's not even 8am and people are already setting up on the beach and some are even swimming.
@stephen cook I was just watching this cam (11:15 18/09) because I really like this beach and I saw an umbrella / beach mat seller walk right the way up, stood for a few minutes and started to make his way back down the beach. I don't know what it is about this beach - it just looks really friendly and not all orgaised with rows and rows of umbrellas. And people seem to stand in the water and chat a lot..
This sure is a popular place. Yesterday morning, there a few people were setting up their brollies, presumably for the day. And what an evocative name- the Bay of Silence!
Looks a really nice place to spend the day.....haven't noticed any beach mat / umbrella seller walking up and down the shoreline now ?
A beach made in heaven.
Not quite “Silent Beach” today. It’s heaving with sun seekers, and I’d love to be one of them right now.
Still beautiful, even in the rain
Are they Social Distancing cones on the sand? Excuse if not, sadly obsessed with phrases like that at the moment. #Lockdown 28 May 2020 UK
(Presumably) a mother and child walking along the beach, all to themselves. That would be my dream come true. Isolated in beauty
So peaceful, love this cam.
So calm, so serene, it looks fantastic here.
Diver here again. I wonder what he’s looking for! Haystacks and needles come to mind!
