They might want to put up a sign to advise people the webcam is. I can hear people talking as I watch the webcam. German guy at the moment is talking..out of shot.

A beautiful sunset, and in spite of all the tensions on the earth, people come to watch the sun fall into the Indian Ocean because to feel small in the presence of greatness is a secret desire of all human kind. To say 'thank you for another day and all the beauty' to God is a need that draws all to watch it unfold even at the close of day. If beauty flares out so energetically and poetically at the end of each day, then perhaps each of us have that same thing when we hit our elder days. We don't 'fade', but 'nova' like a star, All our energy becomes great light and beauty before nightfall.

Would love to be on a swing over the ocean as the sun goes down. Ahhhh. In the quiet moments as the fiery light flares out for one last embrace of the day, is it ...can it be.... Is that Marco Polo's ship sailing past? In between day and night, the mysteries of time emerge. Dreams? Maybe. Or maybe just the 'stuff' dreams are made of.

LC. Oh, I've had that on some cameras, but always put it down to, either, many people watching at once reducing the available bandwidth, or my shocking Internet when it rains here.

Ray, for some reason, the camera view I see looks frozen. When it first appears, there is movement, then it instantly stops, even mid crashing wave. If I reload the page, the scene again shows movement, then instantly stops again. I have occasionally seen this behavior on other webcam locations for a day or so, but I have never seen this webcam acting “normal.”

LC. There is always movement if you watch the clouds. It’s unfortunate now that there are few visitors. There was always someone walking to and from the spit, sometimes they would wave at the camera. Sad times now.

Does anyone else find this webcam is like a “still shot” even though it shows as a “Live” camera view? There is no movement of ocean waves.
