Thank you, Vinno.
The 24 hour replay today is amazing. Not sure if there is lots of ash, steam, smoke or cloud, in between the bursts of explosions.
Vinno your comments still make me laugh even when I re read them. The tourist lady said in a beautiful accent we just get up in the morning and wipe the ash away and go to work.
Did anyone watch on TV The most scenic railways journeys in the world. A trip around Sicily the brave people went up Mt Etna to where our camera is while the lava was flowing. I thought it was a great spectacle amazing how much lava there was and how fast it was flowing, the people were very brave or the other. It was so magic to see it was as if "O I have been there lots of times.
Barbara C - I don't think the residents of the town in the foreground can hear any volcano noises. I think they are too far away and would only hear the very largest eruptions. But I wasn't watching this camera a few hours ago so I can't be sure. I have never heard any sounds from the volcano on this camera - most sounds I hear are wind and traffic and barking dogs. The wind usually blows the sound away from this direction.
I often wonder how are the people there able to sleep during the night with the noise from the eruption???? Grin
Oh yes, Lyn W!
Wow lots of activity tonight.
Wow! What a sight! I wish to snap pictures now... oh well! it was 20:10 PM
As soon as I posted that comment, the lava fountains stopped and this camera switched to colour.
Looks better on the Summit Craters camera - in colour!

I hope someone is taking pictures of these eruptions....
And I am seeing some lava flow?
