Set in the heart of Susa Valley and surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Italian Alps, Bardonecchia is a popular destination for both winter sports enthusiasts and summer hikers. The town is particularly famous for its rich history, its status as one of Italy’s premier ski resorts, and because it hosted snowboarding events during the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Bardonecchia offers around 100 kilometers (about 62 miles) of ski slopes spread across two main ski areas: the Colomion-Les Arnauds-Melezet and Jafferau. In addition to winter sports, it is also a fantastic summer destination, offering a wide range of activities and exploring the beautiful surrounding nature, including the Gran Bosco di Salbertrand Natural Park.
