Parga, view over Krioneri Beach

Parga - Preveza

The Kryoneri beach is the central beach of Parga and is located in Parga, just a few meters away from the center. It is a small, clean, sandy beach with sand and pebbles. The beach is located below the main road of Parga on which there are shops, restaurants, taverns, cafes, bars, souvenir shops etc .

The visitor has a feeling of being on an island. What one sees from the Krioneri beach is the beautiful and picturesque island of Panagia. Αnyone can visit it even by swimming.

It is the city's main organized beach

The Utopia Hotel is located just in front of the Krioneri beach and 5 minutes walk from the center of Parga. It offers comfortable accommodation throughout the year: All studios have a wireless Internet connection, safe, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, air conditioning, central heating, balcony and bathroom with shower. At the hotel's café breakfast is served all day long.

Mmmm debatable considering Italy & Spain are hot countries and they have had huge numbers of cases / deaths?

James McIntosh and loulou, the countries of the European Union, Greece being one, are allowing tourist travel because their Covid-19 cases are at their lowest. Greece having the lowest number of cases and deaths. Greece is not allowing tourists from the US to enter yet due to US ability to decrease the number of cases. I have also heard, from medical professionals, that the virus does not survive in the heat/sunlight.

Sanitize them? Lounger guy probably cheesed off as it is having to keep the loungers far enough apart due to Covid without spending more money on disinfectant!

A few of the restaurants would normally be closed by October and the weather is less reliable and cooler, but many people have had good weather and enjoyable times in Parga in October. Flights to Preveza used to stop for the winter at the end of September, but they go on longer now. I would imagine that due to the poor season this year though, more places will stay open later in the season, to try and claw back some of the losses due to the pandemic

So happy to finally see more people enjoying this beautiful beach. Can't wait for the day when I can be back in the sea there and swim over to the church and then enjoy a meal in one of Parga's lovely restaurants.
