In the many years that I have enjoyed this view, I had never seen the sunrise. It was worth the wait! WOW!
We booked our return for April 2021. That may have worth a bit longer wait but it might work out. Who knows?

May 7, early afternoon on a gorgeous day and still no sign of the ferries. A few cars and motorbikes on the road but sea gulls dominate all. This was to be our last full day in Sorrento before moving on to Rome. Maybe next yea

Glad you had a wonderful time Bob, I spoke to lots of American tourists in Sorrento and they were loving it, I see you are from the west coast now that is one of my favourite places it’s hard to beat Newport Beach and Balboa Island such a contrast from Italy

Well, we just got back from a glorious three weeks in Italy. Two in the north and one in Amalfi. We have never stayed in Sorrento, so @Anne, I'm sorry about your experience. We stay in Amalfi, and after the second trip, we feel like family. It is such a wonderful little town, albeit crowded at times with other tourists. The locals there are warm and hospitable. That coupled with some of the best pizza from Pizzeria Donna Stella, and the BEST limoncello I've ever experienced from Antichi Sapori d'Amalfi.
These family run businesses contain some of the most beautiful people you will ever meet. Just thinking about it brings a smile to my face.
Thank you Skyline webcams for allowing me to visit this gorgeous place all the way from the west coast of the United States. Cheers.

JackV, thanks for the advice I thought I had done my homework on Sorrento which is a nice enough place but I won’t be returning too many other places to visit, I did love the way you can jump on the train and visit other resorts.

Anne, choose a hotel on the Via Correale next time. Sea breezes rather than petrol fumes will give you a totally different perspective. Cheers!

Hi Bob, I did enjoy most of Sorrento hotel and people were great so was the food but didn’t like the traffic quite scary at times trying to walk down the Corsa Italia, I have never seen so many petrol stations in one place not what I was expecting all that smell of fumes was horrible. We were unlucky with the weather too some days and I think this can add to the way you feel about a place.
