It looks like they are taking the walkway down. Shame.

Or maybe it is the repair people? Love how all these cams draw me in and make me wonder. Skyline rocks!

I was watching people cross, 1am Italy time but I think they were gate hoppers because now I am watching police(?) boats zooming in on them. Closure of piers is every night, I guess? Articles have differing info. Still a great cam to watch, action of all kinds:)

Closed for one night to repair worn out fabric covering and allow the town to clear of garbage. Info from this article.

Probably desperate to get on it before it comes to pieces. Apparently it is wearing out faster than anticipated.
Saw some video clips - it looks very wobbly to walk on, but an amazing feat of engineering and quite spectacular from above.

Does anyone ever fall in? I notice there are several small boats continually whizzing around - cover perhaps for this very possibility.

Thank you for the link Simon. Great photo's. I think this is by far the best art installation Christo and the late Jean-Claude have ever come up with. Wish I could visit but this cam does the trick just fine.
