Unfortunately the present camera angle does not include the eruption vents. The whole cam needs to be tilted up and to the left a few degrees.

7feb19--Rick was correct there are 4 cams on Stromboli, 2 from the port areas. I was totally wrong about their locations. Pardon me.

Rick, Allow me to suggest there may be some confusion about SkylineWebcams' on the island of Stromboli. There are just two ( 2 ) SkylineWebcams on Stromboli. One located at about the same elevation ( 800 - 900 meters ) as the craters - '' Stromboli live cam - Live eruption of Stromboli Volcano '' 1.70 mi (2.74 km) from the host's establishment, and the second located at a restaurant 'Osservatorio' at about 100 meters elevation '' Stromboli - Sciara del Fuoco live cam - View on Stromboli's Sciara del Fuoco '' - about 4,083.75 ft (1.24 km) from the host's establishment.
There are no //, zero , SkylineWebcams located at or near the harbour(s) of the Stromboli island.
That being said , there are many dozens of other cams broadcasting images from the island. There is a college/university observitory on the island which in itself has several eyes on Him. Many other cams too. SkylineWebcams has just/only 2 ( both thrilling ) on the island. NOW , BUT , OH , Hey, Stromboli
SkylineWebcams in its library of cams does have other 'live-cams' with Stromboloi in the title.
Stromboli - Eolian Islands - Sicily live cam View of Scari Beach - note : Sicily - not located on Him
Stromboli - Aeolian Islands live cam View on the Ficogrande Beach with Strombolicchio in background - note : not located on Him
Lipari - Aeolian Islands live cam View of Canneto beach, Panarea and Stromboli in the background - again, looking at but not on Him
Somehow I feel there was another cam but that one excapes me.
The last three 'live-cams' are on grid power, both for the cameras and the computers that then communicate with the great system we know and love.

my guess is because they run on solar...as well as internet and could not be a "strong connection"

hmm it is really dissapointing that this cam and the cam near the summit are time after time down why are these 2 having so much problems and the 2 other cams nearby not. and now its so obvious that these problems keep occuring on these 2 cams why doesnt it get solved. 4 cams on the island the 2 aimed at the vulcano are constantly down or buffering and the other 2 are running without problems but only this one and the one at the summit are really interesting they better can switch them then.

Thanks to you all for your info but I think I will not be trying to log in here too many times in future as I am so disappointed with buffering and offine
    Cheers to all

Rick and Barbara, I emailed skyline about both cameras some weeks ago. They replied that that have new network related problems. That is surprising, but in October I spent few days in Stromboli and was able to watch HD movies over my mobile network... So that must be the connection between camera and their servers.

To Rick, Webcam at the harbour and village are powered by standard current not solar panel that's why they are less offline then the vulcano's one! They are also easier to look after I guess! Have a good day!
