Hi Gwynn H and Gert plus all Skyliners, the weather is much better at Dover than a very wet and cool northeast where I am. We had a downpour last night with a bit thunder and lightening - at least I don't have to water my pansies in the tubs and begonias in the window boxes. Something good comes out of everything!

Gert, I am watching from Texas. Hot here!

Audrey, enjoy your cool weather for me!

Hi everybody, it's a bit of a grey morning up in the northeast, quite cool too, a contrast to the heat we've been having.
    Enjoy whatever you do today.

    Gwynn, Where are you located?

I also love the sunrises here, the UK is 8 hours ahead of me (it's almost 10 pm, still early), so I catch it whenever I can.

Good morning skyliners. Thanks to kipper and Gert for your good wishes, bless you both x Gert I was born and raised in a place called Whitstable which is where Peter Cushing lived. He was a well known local figure and used to cycle around town with a white flat cap on and always had a wave or a hello for everyone he met - lovely man. My brother did some electrical work for him in his house which was right on the seafront and said how lovely he was (he sadly died a few years ago) Bit grey this morning - wonder what the day will bring. Take care everyone x

Hey Jacqui, I hope everything goes well with your operation. The reason I mentioned the 'Dalek', I was watching an old Doctor Who movie that dealt with the 'Daleks', starring Peter Cushing as Doctor Who. The 'Daleks' were my least favorite 'Doctor Who creature'.

Hya Gert. You could be right there lol. You can imagine two little eyes peeping out of that slit at the top! I'm housebound at the moment waiting for an operation so I so love the fact that thanks to skylinewebcams I can watch our lovely seafront. Also of course I can visit places all over the world via live webcams which I find fascinating too. Have a lovely day x

Hya Kipper. Oh yes - silly me! lol I wasn't thinking. I love the sea when it's rough, really dramatic sometimes. Well the sun's back now I see so a lot of people will be happy. Take care.

Hello Jacqui, The Deal cam looks out to sea, but Dover is in a harbour, reason the sea is not so rough as Deal. you have a nice day too..

What a change in the weather! The sea looks even rougher on the Deal webcam too. Have to admit that I am enjoying the cooler days after the extreme heat. The forecast is for more sunshine next week and another heatwave so the picture postcard look will be back soon. So enjoy your day everyone - wherever you are in the world x
